Commitment

You Gotta Trust Somebody

You’ve recognized the effects of stress on your body, discovered areas of imbalance in your life, written down your perfect life story, established your 3 most important long-term goals and now the next phase gives you the opportunity to take a BOLD and DARING step toward your lifetime GOALS!

Commitment Cards keep you invested in the goal, and provide you inspiration to keep on reaching for your dreams.  This exercise asks you to share your #1 long-term goal with someone you trust—someone who will not only be cheering for you but who will give you a much needed kick in the butt if you don’t follow through on your promises.  The benefits of accountability are well documented across all areas of life and goal setting and keeping are no exception.  Take the next step and share your dreams with someone you trust.  I know, it can be a little scary to share something that maybe you’ve kept to yourself for a very long time.  Our dreams are a representation of who we are at our very core. I guarantee that your trusted friend or family member will be honored to take this journey toward great, life altering events with you.

If you need an extra person to trust with your goal, we are here and available and would be honored to witness the unfolding of your future success.

Long Term Goals

Long Term Goals

Hard-wired for Success

Most of us are familiar and maybe even comfortable with setting short-term goals—losing 10 lbs. by my cousin’s wedding in July, saving money every month for a trip to Yosemite next summer—you get the picture.  But, what if I told you that setting long-term goals is what really sets us on the path to life-long success?

In a recent psychological study conducted by Alberta School of Business, researchers made a remarkable discovery – once we set a long-term goal, our subconscious mind will never “erase” it (www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2011/08/110826192433.htm). Our brains are hard-wired to pursue our long-term goals! The key phrase is “once we set a long-term goal.”  As we mentioned yesterday, the first phase of setting a goal is writing it down.  Today’s tool helps you do just that very thing.  If you have any questions or feedback, please contact us by subscribing to this blog.

Let’s hard wire our brains for success!

Life = Satisfaction

Life = Satisfaction

Life in Balance

Yesterday Mark shared with us the Effects of Stress on Your Body.  Today, let’s put that information to practical use for you. We are not one dimensional human beings but rather, multi-faceted, with aspects of our lives that bring us great joy and satisfaction and areas that potentially bring us stress and less than ideal levels of happiness and fulfillment.

Today’s tool the Life Satisfaction Wheel will help you put in writing areas of your life that are doing really well and areas that may have room for improvement. We all strive for BALANCE in our busy, busy lives and this exercise will help you see how balanced your life is.  The good news? If your “wheel” is flat, or broken-down in some areas, we can help you fix it.  We won’t leave you stranded by the side of the road; the next few days are full of tools to get you back on the road to setting new goals and achieving your dreams.

Let the Adventure Begin!

Let the Adventure Begin!

There were times, and if I’m being honest, there are still times, I found myself so busy scurrying from activity to activity or so overwhelmed by real and perceived responsibilities that there was no possible way to maintain clear direction. Barreling down the road (any which road) without any set destination leads to internal chaos and, ultimately, the inability to move in any direction, (read more)...
